Course Description:
The history of the Royal Cape Golf Club dates back to the turn of
the century, however, the existing course was only finalised in the
early 1930's. It sprawls among the Cape Flats, with the holes spaced-out
and divided by trees, thick bush and scrub. A large dam comes into
play on the third, fourth and fifth holes making this a somewhat watery
corner of the course. Several times host to the SA Open, Royal Cape
Golf Club is certainly one of the best tests of golf in the country.
This course is not only challenging but also aesthetically pleasing
with the majestic backdrop of Table Mountain prominent from most aspects.
